I-40 ends in Wilmington, NC and will become Highway 132. A large green highway directional sign will indicate to turn left for Jacksonville and Wrightsville Beach, Highway 74 East. Turn left at the traffic light and you will come be heading toward Wrightsville Beach. After approximately .6 miles you will come to a large intersection with traffic lights. Go straight on Highway 74 and continue through 6 more traffic lights, approximately 3.5 miles. You will see the Waterway Lodge on your right, just before the drawbridge. If you go over the bridge, you have gone too far.
